Sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation – celebrating people with special needs.
North Coast Church is proud to be an official host church for the 2019 Night to Shine, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs, ages 14 and older. The event will be hosted by an estimated 700 churches around the world simultaneously on Friday, February 8, 2019.
Every guest of Night to Shine enters this complimentary event on a red carpet complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi. Once inside, guests receive the royal treatment, including limousine rides, professional photography, hair and makeup stations, corsages and boutonnieres, shoe shines, a catered dinner, karaoke, a Respite Room for parents and caretakers, and, of course, a dance floor… all leading up to the moment when each guest is crowned a king or queen of the prom.
Caregivers can register for the Respite Room too! The Respite Room is a private area where parents/caretakers of guests can spend the evening enjoying food, entertainment and rest while remaining onsite during the event. If medication is required during the event, a parent or caretaker MUST be available to administer the medication.
“I am blown away by how we are seeing God use the Church to step into this space as an advocate for people with special needs. It’s not about my foundation or the churches themselves, but about communities coming together to love and celebrate people with differences. Every town, every village, every state, every country needs a Night to Shine for their special needs community – a chance to be a part of something significant and life-changing…and to be blessed in the process,” said Tim Tebow, founder of the Tim Tebow Foundation.
If you would like to help cover the cost of this amazing night celebrating those with special needs in our community, donate to the Special Needs Ministry. Your contribution is tax deductible.
We will soon start the process of recruiting volunteers to help with the event. We need over 100 volunteers who can help with a variety of tasks including set up, food, hair and makeup, check-in, acting as paparazzi, photographers and more! There will also be a volunteer buddy partnered with each guest. More info will be coming soon about how to sign up as a volunteer.
