Childcare Staff at Vista Campus

The Childcare Ministry offers childcare for parents attending mid-week Bible studies or classes. We have regular events on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and on Thursday nights, as well as other occasional events.

If you’ve got some extra time in your schedule and would like to work regularly or on a fill-in basis, fill out the application.  Be sure to indicate the position you are interested in is Vista Childcare.

Coast Kids K/1 Director (Vista Campus)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

  • To help K/1 children grow into followers of Jesus by developing their understanding of God, the Bible, and prayer.
  • To provide directional leadership and build a focused, united, strong team of paid & unpaid staff.
  • To provide a fun and safe environment where K/1 students can learn Biblical truths.
  • To provide an environment where parents feel positive about bringing their children.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Plan weekend lessons that teach and explain the Bible to K/1 students.
  • Train paid and unpaid staff in the discussion of the Bible lesson and running of weekend services.
  • Regularly pray for and care for the spiritual & emotional needs of K/1 paid & unpaid staff, students & their families.
  • Weekend Services
    • Run K/1 services, giving direction to paid & unpaid staff and serving in any capacity as needed, such as coordinator, teacher, greeter, tech leader, or small group leader.
    • Be in the K/1 classroom at least three Sunday mornings per month, coordinating with the Coast Kids Pastor for coverage on the fourth Sunday of the month.

High School Pastor (San Marcos/Escondido Campus)

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Plan and execute Biblically accurate, culturally relevant, and high energy services for High School Students
  • Create and manage a ministry calendar that will drive all teaching/events for the ministry
  • Lead a team of paid staff and volunteers in all operations of high school ministry
  • Develop and disciple student leaders
  • Manage annual budget for the High School ministry

Part-Time Life Group Project Coordinator

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

  • To support and equip our Life Group leaders/hosts with resources and tools to be great leaders/hosts.
  • Coordinate Life Group operations by supporting the daily/weekly/quarterly/annual projects.
  • Coordinate front-line follow-up responses to church members with the goal of care and connection.

CONTINUING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support to a Life Group pastor(s), leaders and hosts.
  • Monitor and maintain groups for meetings, trainings, and events.
  • Regularly communicate with leaders and hosts.
  • Assist with logistics for Life Group events.
  • Present for quarterly Sign-up – 3 weeks in Fall, 2 weeks in Winter and Spring.

Preschool Teacher (North Coast Preschool)

A Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate program for young children in a warm, nurturing, and enriching environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To provide responsive, relationship-based care for the individual child.
  • To plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs to meet the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs of the children in their care.
  • To create an inviting environment for play and exploration.
  • To build and nurture partnerships with parents via written and verbal communication, conferences, and family involvement within the classroom.

Project Coordinator (Life Groups)

The Project Coordinator of Life Groups wakes up thinking about how to encourage meaningful friendships centered on God’s Word through intentional connections between leaders and hosts. They work closely with the Life Groups Director of Operations, the global Life Groups Project Coordinator team, Life Groups Pastors, and all supportive ministries.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with Project Coordinator Team and designated Pastors to review weekly needs, goals, and maintain Life Group profiles and member lists.
  • Work with Project Coordinators globally on designated projects.
  • Attend trainings, both in-person and virtually, for Life Groups as needed.
  • Send regular communications to designated Life Groups.
  • Create group profiles and onboard new Life Group leaders and hosts.
  • Provide reports and stats to designated pastors, as needed.
  • Provide onsite support for Life Group events and trainings throughout the year.
  • Provide administrative support for designated Life Groups.
  • Copyedit Sermon Notes and Life Group Homework weekly.

Tech Producer

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Global Weekend Service Producer and Event Operator will lead weekend technical production in various venues across North Coast Church and provide technical support for events and services for the ministries of North Coast Church at various campuses. This position will ensure that all tech equipment in the venue is being used properly, the ministries are served with speed and professionalism, and the tech volunteers they serve with are appreciated and welcomed. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Lead the weekend tech and worship teams to follow the vision and processes the venue’s Worship Pastor, Venue Pastor, and Executive Producer have created.
  • Create a fun and welcoming environment while keeping a high standard of production.
  • Set up and/or run sound, lighting, and video systems as applicable while producing.
  • Make sure the volunteers are following the worship leader and they are aware and ready of all service elements.
  • Communicate with the Weekend Venue Pastor and Worship Pastor during rehearsal to make sure you have all elements and timing needed to produce the service.
  • Communicate using radios, Microsoft Teams, Email, and Planning Center.
  • Contact ministry leads prior to events to confirm all tech needs, event time, and tech call time.
  • Relay important information to the correct people of equipment needs and/or repairs needed.
  • Attend all Tech Team, Campus, and Organization gatherings, meetings, trainings, etc. when possible.

Venue Executive Tech Producer

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Venue Executive Producer will oversee a venue for weekend technical production and midweek set up for the weekend, tech equipment cleaning, installations, and minor repairs. They will communicate and lead teams of staff and volunteers both in the booth and on stage and ensure the volunteers that serve during the midweek and weekend are loved and well taken care of by the tech team.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for all tech staff and volunteers to serve at the campus.
  • Support and care for the tech volunteers.
  • Meet with venue producers, worship directors and pastors to create a clear and precise vision of the attendee experience, including mix examples, audio decibel levels, lighting expectations and service flow for each venue.
  • Effectively lead the tech team in the venue on the weekend by creating a fun and welcoming environment while keeping a high standard of production.
  • Keep the worship and tech teams on time and knowledgeable of all service elements and relevant information.
  • Run sound, lighting, and video in the booth as needed.
  • Communicate using 2-way radios and Microsoft Teams throughout the weekend for essential information.
  • Create processes that can be carried out to keep weekend services consistent week to week.
  • Troubleshoot any problems or issues during the week that came up during the weekend. Bring in support staff if needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is being used properly, installed correctly, and fixed in a timely manner.
  • Know the AVL signal chain and cable runs in the venue to help diagnose problems that arise.
  • Quickly address equipment failures in the venue, and install, at minimum, a temporary solution, as quick as possible, ensuring the system is stable and functional for events and services.
  • Work closely with the AVL Directors for equipment installations in the venue.
  • Able and willing to maintain a basic level of knowledge in audio, lighting, and broadcast systems to help the team in any capacity.
  • Provide AVL tech support for events and services across the campuses.
  • Attend all Tech Team, Campus, and Organizational gatherings, meetings, trainings, etc.
  • Grows the team intentionally by assisting with volunteer recruitment, and provide ongoing direction, training, and support to volunteers across North Coast Campuses.
  • Perform any other duties needed to help achieve team objectives.

Tech Administrative Coordinator

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Tech Team Admin will be highly relational and be the face of tech to all incoming and existing tech team volunteers and will have three main duties: volunteer coordinating, weekend service scheduling, and administrative duties.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Manage administrative tasks and assist the Tech Director with other duties as assigned, such as data entry and invoicing.
  • Maintain Team calendars and SharePoint site.
  • Organize and host Tech Team training or appreciation events.
  • Organize purchasing of equipment, supplies, and subscriptions.
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets and direct the email to the team members that need to respond.
  • Contact potential volunteers to interview and understand their skill level.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new staff and volunteers and the execution of the 5-part safety system.
  • Communicate directly with Tech Team volunteers across all North Coast Church’s campuses to keep them connected and up to date with tech ministry news or information.
  • Responsible for scheduling staff or volunteers for all weekend positions at every campus.
  • Communicating with Campus Tech Directors to follow up on volunteers and to continually check in that all positions are being covered well.

QUALIFICATIONS
