Baptisms at Vista Campus

This February & May, Vista Campus celebrated over 140 people getting baptized, from all ages and multiple ministries, including The Jordan Young Adults Ministry, Spanish Ministry, and some student ministries as well!

Many people at North Coast will tell you that baptisms are one of the absolute favorite things the church participates in, as the family of God publicly welcomes those who have committed to following Jesus, ready to make a step of faith by climbing into the water. These moments are marked by celebration, rejoicing, victory, sometimes tears, and often a “new chapter.”

Baptism is a way Jesus gives believers to outwardly declare the relationship they have with Him and the commitment they are making to follow Him. In some of His final words to His disciples, He gives the command, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

For many who have just begun a relationship with Jesus, this is the next step to making their relationship with Him public, and for some who have been following Jesus for a long time and just never got baptized since making that decision, this is a celebratory reminder of their love and commitment to Him. Either way, the church gets to be a part of witnessing and celebrating the transformational work of God in the hearts and lives of people declaring their love for Him.

Vista Campus, please join us in celebrating and praying for these people who have taken this step in their faith journey. And if you think baptism might be a next step for you, please look for details on the next baptism opportunity at Vista Campus.
