A SIX-DAY FORGED MAN DEVO
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
Just like metal is forged in fire and shaped with care, God is at work in our lives to form us into men who reflect His heart. He uses His Word, our struggles, and our relationships with others to shape us into men of strength and character. We aren’t meant to walk this journey alone—God places us in community so we can encourage,
challenge, and strengthen one another.
Each day in this devotional, pause to read, reflect, and pray. As you do, think about not only your own walk with God, but also how your life is connected to those around you.
1 Corinthians 4:2 – “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.”
Faithfulness shows up in the everyday moments—being present for God, your family, and your friends. It doesn’t mean perfection, but steady steps of trust. Faithful men give strength to the people around them because they can be counted on.
Reflection: Where in your life do you want to be more consistent? How can your faithfulness encourage those closest to you?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your unshakable faithfulness to me. Help me to live in a way that others can lean on and see You more clearly.
John 14:15 – “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”
Obedience isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about love. When we follow God’s ways, we’re showing we trust Him. Obedience not only shapes our walk with God but also gives those around us an example of what it looks like to follow Him.
Reflection: Is there an area where God is inviting you to trust Him more fully? How might your obedience encourage someone else in their journey?
Prayer: Father, give me a heart that gladly obeys You. Let my life be a reflection that draws others closer to You.
James 1:12 – “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial…”
Resilience doesn’t mean we never feel tired or discouraged. It means leaning on God and not giving up. As we walk through challenges with endurance, we not only grow stronger, but we also inspire others to keep going. Resilience is contagious when lived out in community.
Reflection: Who might be watching how you walk through this season? How can your resilience give hope to someone else?
Prayer: Lord, help me trust You in trials. Strengthen me so my life can be an encouragement to those around me.
Proverbs 11:25 – “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
Generosity flows from a heart that knows God’s goodness. It’s not just about money—it’s about time, encouragement, and presence. When we share what God has given us, we build connection and show His love in tangible ways.
Reflection: Who in your circle could use a generous word, act, or gift this week? How can your generosity draw you closer to them and to Christ?
Prayer: Father, open my eyes to opportunities to refresh others. Teach me to live with open hands and a heart that looks out for the needs of those around me.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 – “…so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
God equips us through His Word so we can live out our faith—not in isolation, but alongside others. Scripture strengthens us to serve, encourage, and stand together. A man who invests in God’s Word becomes a blessing to his family, friends, and community.
Reflection: How is God’s Word shaping you for the sake of others? What habit could you build this week to grow stronger and share that strength?
Prayer: Lord, equip me with wisdom and grace, not only for my own walk but so I can strengthen and encourage those You’ve placed in my life.
Galatians 6:9 – “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Diligence is about steady, faithful effort over time. A diligent man doesn’t drift through life; he leans in, gives his best, and stays committed to what matters most. In our walk with God, diligence means pursuing Him daily, investing in relationships, and serving others with care. When we are diligent, we reflect God’s faithfulness and provide strength and encouragement to the people around us.
Reflection: Where do you sense God calling you to be more diligent—in your faith, your family, your friendships, or your work?
Prayer: Lord, give me diligent hands and a steadfast heart. Help me live with focus and care, building up others and honoring You in all I do.
