Our job in Children’s Ministry is to extend an open invitation to ALL children to meet Jesus, learn about Him, and grow to love and serve Him. That’s easier said than done with children who have experienced trauma in their young lives, such as divorce, bullying, or domestic violence. These children need Jesus and can experience His love through YOU! In this breakout, Karen will help you gain better understanding of how these kids think, cope, and respond when threatened, and give you strategies to encourage them to allow you in to love them.

About the speaker: Karen Keith is the Director of Member Care at North Coast Church. She served as an Assistive Technology Specialist for Oceanside Unified School District for twenty-four years. After retiring, Karen became a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and is a counselor on church staff as well as in private practice.
