Media Analysis: Filtering Entertainment Through a Biblical Lens
Lights! Camera! ACTION! Get ready to open up your beautiful mind as we take a more critical look at our favorite forms of entertainment. Every aspect of the media, from camera angels to music, has been expertly crafted to send a message to the masses. In this class, we will focus on discovering what that message is and filtering it through the Bible.
Each class will discuss a topic from a different form of media: magazine articles, music, a TV Episode and lastly, a movie! Then we will open our Bibles and discover how the Word of God addresses the same topic.
So, sit back and enjoy the twists and turns of lively discussion! By the end of this class, you will be more confident engaging in discussion around the messages entertainment feeds us and have a better grasp of how to filter it through a biblical lens.
