At North Coast Church Preschool, families are partners in learning! We offer a low teacher to child ratio in a fun and safe Christian setting.  The teachers will work closely with your child to encourage a life-long love of learning.

We are a brand-new facility, specifically designed to be a week-day Preschool.  The building features large classrooms with natural lighting and a home-like feel.  The outdoor environment offers a safe park-like setting, providing ample room for exploration, discovery and fun!

Our leadership team brings a combined 75 years of experience working with children!

Theresa Kidwell oversees the Leadership Team as the Children’s Pastor for Birth through Pre-K.  She is also the Director of the Little Coasters weekend ministry.  She began working with North Coast Church children as a volunteer in 1998, and came on staff in 2000.  Theresa has a BS degree in Business Administration, with numerous units in Child Development.

Cheryl Robinson (Preschool co-Director) has 24 years of experience as a Preschool teacher, which included 9 years as an Assistant Director.  She volunteered in the North Coast Church Nursery for 7 years before coming on staff as a Little Coasters Coordinator in 2001.  Cheryl earned a BA degree with a double major in Child Development and Psychology.

Marcia Boeche (Preschool co-Director) is a current Preschool teacher, working with toddlers.  She volunteered in North Coast Church Children’s Ministries for 4 years before coming on staff in 2005.  She runs the Special Needs Ministry, taught Mommy & Me classes and summer camps for the YMCA, and has taught American Sign Language in a number of local school districts.  She will be implementing sign language throughout the Preschool, for infants through Pre-K.  She is pursuing an AA degree in Child Development.

Barbara Etienne (Consultant) worked with North Coast Church children as a volunteer and a staff Coordinator before relocating to earn her master’s degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education.  She has been a Preschool teacher, and developed and coordinated children’s programs for nearly a decade at the YMCA.   Since 2002, she has worked as an Early Childhood Education Instructional Specialist, Program Coordinator, and Associate Faculty member at MiraCosta College.
