About Dave and Lily
Lily and Dave both graduated from California State University, Chico in May 2007. While there, they became involved in Campus Crusade for Christ although Lily's exposure to Campus Crusade started much earlier than her college years. Throughout her growing up years both her parents were on staff with Campus Crusade. In 2005, her father (Ned Mervich) joined North Coast as one of the pastors. 

Their involvement in Campus Crusade had such a tremendous effect on their lives that they became missionaries with Campus Crusade soon after getting married in 2007.

They are serving with Campus Crusade at San Jose State University. It is an extremely diverse campus of over 30,000 students. SJSU is a very strategic campus due to its location in the San Francisco Bay Area and proximity to Silicon Valley.

It is of utmost importance to reach and influence college students with the Love of Christ and the Good News of the Gospel. There is truly a great competition for the hearts and minds of students.

How they are influenced in college will affect them for the rest of their lives. College students are the leaders of tomorrow. It's not a matter of if they will lead, but how they will lead.

Since their time on a summer mission in East Asia in 2005, Dave and Lily's desire has been to serve on an overseas campus reaching students for Christ. Their time at SJSU will serve to help them prepare for that time as they learn to build a student movement on a US campus first, as well as allow them the opportunity to reach out to the hundreds of international students currently studying at SJSU.
