Becky French Apana, Psy.D.

Becky is a Licensed Psychologist and Director of the North Coast Church Counseling Center. She received her doctorate from Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University. Becky comes to us with a wealth of knowledge forged from over 20 years of experience in the field. She works with people who struggle in a variety of areas, specifically: depression, anxiety, addictions, women's issues, grief counseling, and helping people improve relationships. In addition, Becky enjoys coming along side those who desire help in navigating their spiritual journeys.

Rigo Brueck, Ph.D. MFT

Rigo is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Freiburg in Germany. He has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families who struggle with depression, anxiety, impulse control, anger, post-traumatic stress disorder and relationship issues. Rigo has a strong concern for veterans and their families dealing with the fall-out of combat deployment. He spent many years researching and treating addictions involving substances (alcohol, pills, cocaine, etc.) and behaviors (gambling, internet, shopping, etc.), and focuses especially on working with families and loved ones of individuals suffering from addiction but refusing to seek help.

Pam Clark, MFT

 Pam Clark is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has been part of the North Coast Church Counseling Center for over 15 years, helping people with many different concerns; including family of origin, marital, divorce, parenting, co-parenting, and blended family challenges. Some of the specific skills she helps people improve are: conflict resolution, communication, decision making, coping, and stress reduction. Pam works with couples, individuals and children as well as leading various recovery/relational groups and seminars.

Pam is also on the staff of North Coast Church's Single Adult Ministry, as the Director of the Single Women's Ministry, overseeing opportunities for single women to grow, heal, strengthen their relationship with God and have healthy, meaningful relationships with others. In addition, she oversees and often teaches the Single Adult Ministry (SAM) monthly Sunday Singles Seminars on a variety of topics.

Jennifer Corke, MFT

Jennifer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She specializes in helping people improve relationships and communication skills. She enjoys working with women, men, adolescents, couples and families. She brings a great deal of experience in helping people with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, grief issues, parenting, and women's issues.

Graciela Dunn, LCSW

Graciela is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  She received her Masters of Social Work degree at the University of Michigan.  She is a bi-cultural, bi-lingual (English and Spanish) therapist.  Graciela has over 17 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, elderly and groups.  She has extensive experience working in outpatient and inpatient counseling settings, adolescent residential services, hospice, medical social work and clinical supervision.  Graciela works with people struggling in a variety of areas including depression, anxiety, impulse control, psychosis, addictions and grief and loss.  In addition, she specializes in working with troubled teenagers, individuals and their families with learning and emotional disabilities, women's issues, and helping people improve their relationships.       

Debbie Hamilton RN, MFT

Debbie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an RN. She received her BSN from Biola University and her MS in Counseling from Cal Baptist University. Debbie spent 6 years working in an inpatient facility where she gained experience working with all kinds of women's issues, including depression, codependency, abuse, grief and loss and anxiety. Her specialties include pre-marital and marital counseling, divorce recovery, parenting issues and group therapy.

Joseph Jones, MFT

Joseph received an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College and fulfilled the California Credentialing requirements in School Psychology from Azusa Pacific University.  Joseph is a licensed Marriage Family Therapist and a Credentialed School Psychologist.  Since 1998 he has worked in several school districts providing: psycho-educational evaluations, intervention plans, counseling, trainings and assisting teams with implementing plans that promote student success.   Prior to working in school districts, from 1991 - 1998, Joseph facilitated Children and Family therapy in a variety of settings (group home, residential facility and an outpatient clinic).  Joseph combines experience, skill and a Christ centered approach to assist folks who are facing a variety of life's challenges.

Kathy Mattox, MFT

Kathy Mattox is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received her MFT Masters degree from the University of San Diego. In addition to having been a credentialed public school teacher, a pre-school director and a YMCA program director, she has provided therapy for children and their families at the Rady Children's Hospital out-patient psychiatric clinic.  Kathy has a passion for working with children and their families.  Using a Solution Focused approach, along with attention to the family system, she provides a safe and supportive environment that promotes healing of emotional, social, educational and relational issues. Additionally, Kathy enjoys counseling individual men and women who are struggling with any of life's difficult challenges.  Finally, Kathy especially looks forward to working with senior citizens who are facing significant life transitions which may include grief, illness, broken relationships, and depression.

Connor McFadden, MFT

Connor is a licensed marriage family therapist who has attended North Coast Church for the past five years.  Connor has an eclectic approach that uses several different styles of counseling focusing on hope and change.  Connor has worked in multiple areas of mental health for the past six years, most recently acting as the program manager for a human service agency in Oceanside.  His experience includes working with Domestic Violence, Anxiety, Depression, and Bi-polar Disorders.  Connor has a heart for working with couples and enjoys helping them have the type of marriage that God intended.  Connor has extensive experience working with teens in various settings including: group homes, serving as youth director and working with high school youth ministry for over six years.  Connor also serves on staff in the role of Growth Group and Community Service Pastor.

Janelle Nelson, MFT Intern

Janelle is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. She completed her M.A. degree in Counseling Psychology in 2005 and has over 1800 hours of experience working at a Drug and Alcohol Inpatient Center. She also has over seven years of experience working with teenagers/young adults. Janelle enjoys working with women, young adults/teenagers, couples, and families. Her experience includes working with the following conditions: addictions, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, divorce recovery, communication issues, and relationship issues. She is married and has one child.

Vicki Switzer, MFT

Vicki has been working as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 25 years in private practice. Her primary specialty is marital work, particularly coming alongside those couples whose marriages and immediate family members have been negatively impacted by extra-marital relationships, addictions, family violence, substance abuse or childhood trauma. Her ongoing training and experience includes treating individuals for post-traumatic stress disorders.

Susan Trueblood, MFT

Susan received her doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Addiction Specialist. She heads our Life Skills and Support Ministry. She works with individuals, couples and families. Her clinical approach is experiential, which means that she incorporates spirituality, authenticity, and congruent communication in helping clients realize their uniqueness in becoming the person that God destines each to be. Her clinical research centers on the process of forgiveness between those who have hurt one another. She specializes in working with couples and families in recovery from substance/activities abuse. Her underlying emphasis is that through our commitment and love for God, we are able to work through issues that God is using for testing, growing and refining each of us.

Laural Tubbs, LCSW

Laural is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked with North Coast Church families since 2002.  She enjoys using Biblical principles combined with relevant therapeutic treatments to support individual and family growth and recovery.  Laural's work experience has allowed her to see success with clients facing the following conditions:  depression/anxiety, phobias, disturbances related to traumatic memories, survivors of abuse, body dysmorphia, gender identification/sexual orientation issues, and performance anxiety.  She also is an EMDR specialist (see emdrnetwork.com).  Additionally, working with entire families on relational issues is a particular passion of hers.  She is married and has two children.

Tony Vitrano, MFT

Tony is a Marriage and Family Therapist who has been with North Coast Church since 2005. He counsels couples, families, and individuals in order to promote healthy relationships and spiritual growth. Tony works from a biblical orientation and has experience helping people with marital issues, communication skills, boundaries, anger management, depression, mental illness, personality disorders, and addiction.
