Operation Recovery is an emotional healing and marriage counseling program designed to attend to the effects of Post Traumatic Stress - PTSD, communication difficulties in marriage and relationships, and job/career development for soldiers, veterans and their families.  There is never a charge or fee for soldiers, veterans or their family members – you have served now it is our turn to serve you! 

The historic Old Mission San Luis Rey, has provided Operation Recovery use of a large, old barn directly behind the mission. The barn faces nearly 20 acres of unused, slightly disintegrating property. Operation Recovery has integrated therapeutic programs in to a five-year renovation plan for the land including vegetable gardens, meditation gardens, paths and ponds, and an orchard.  Participants in the program receive direct therapeutic attention to emotional issues in the privacy of the Mission grounds. And, they have the opportunity for garden therapy and job-skill training, while giving back to their community – via the development and maintenance of the Mission’s property.

We can use your help in remodeling the barn, developing the grounds and preparing plants to be sold for fund raising.
