Student Ministry in St. Peterburg, Russia
For over five years Sam has been in full-time Christian service in Russia. He is a teacher, school administrator, youth leader, camp counselor, mission trip leader, and on occasion, a ditch digger and handyman. His primary ministry is with the Kargel & Baedecker Christian School in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Mission
While Russia has changed, in many ways it remains hostile and a difficult place for Christian ministry. The K & B School serves some of the neediest children in Russia who were rejected by the public schools as "unteachable." The school is openly Christian and provides Bible classes, chapels, and Chistian teachers who are called to share their faith and nurture the children in their classes. Sam also works with evangelical outreach ministries including: Vacation Bible Schools, sports camps, traditional camps and evangelism programs in urban areas.
