VISITOR REGULAR ATTENDER PASTOR LOOKING FOR RESOURCES

Emmanuel and Leticia Bellon

About the Bellon Family
Shaping the next generation of African leaders, Emmanuel Bellon completed a bachelor's degree in business administration and management from Daystar University and a master of divinity degree from Nairobi International School of Theology (NIST). Emmanuel's previous work and service experiences have increased his desire to help shape the next generation of African leaders. Prior to pursuing further studies, he worked with World Vision International in his home country of Ghana for seven years as a youth coordinator, campus outreach leader, and an ordained associate pastor.

For the last six years he has been training and developing leaders through workshops, seminars, and conferences as a Campus Crusade missionary in Nairobi, Kenya. Two years prior to coming to the U.S. for graduate-level studies, he served as a missionary faculty in the leadership development department at NIST, a graduate level seminary that is a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. He recently completed his Ph.D. in Leadership at the School of Intercultural Studies, Fuller Theological Seminary.  Soon he will be going back to Nairobi International School of Theology to train and develop leaders who will shepherd the church and para-church organizations in Africa, to engage in research, and to develop leadership training materials that are biblically sound and culturally relevant.

Highlights from the Bellons 2007

We praise the Lord for sending us to Kenya to serve. It has been an amazing year for every one of us. We have experienced God’s favor and mercies in several ways.

(Josephine, 16) This year has been filled with laughter, learning, and new experiences as I went through my first year at Rosslyn Academy in Kenya. I look forward to even more experiences as yearbook editor in my senior year.  I thank God with all my heart for the opportunity to come to Kenya.

(Gifty, 8) I thank God for my friends. I have enjoyed writing short notes to my parents and planning family fun meetings.  I look forward to making more friends next year.

Caleb (4) struggled with his adjustment into the new school system but now enjoying it. He is cheerfully connecting with other children in the neighborhood.

(Leticia) The last few years were challenging as I struggled with my health. I praised the Lord that I have been in great health this year and able to provide support for the family.  My meetings with women leaders for spiritual formation have been very fulfilling.

(Emmanuel) I am grateful for the Lord’s love and favor over every step I made this year. The travels for the transforming leadership seminars and interaction with leaders at various levels, the birth of the Bright Leadership Center, and involvement in my local church are testimonies of God’s ability to do more than we can ask or imagine.  My bible study theme for 2007 has been stewardship, and still learning to submit to the Lord’s leadership and guidance in my life. I look forward to more time with my family next year.

We pray for God’s presence and bountiful blessings on every area of your life, that you will experience the joy of serving Him in 2008.
