FAQ's
What can my child expect during the service?
Coast Kids starts with 20 minutes in praise and worship, followed by a 25-30 minute fun teaching time, and ends with 20 minutes in small groups to make crafts and work on small projects.
What are the check-in and check-out procedures?
Arrive at our Coast Kids registration tables, located in the plaza under the white canopies with bright yellow banners labeled K & 1st/2nd & 3rd/4th grade/ 5th grade. Fill out a registration card for each child, including all pertinent information including any allergies or special needs. After three visits to our program, your child will receive a permanent nametag. Your child will be escorted into their appropriate classroom. Our doors to the plaza close for safety during worship services. At service end, we ask that an adult picks up the child inside their class, checking out with the child's teacher. The classroom pick-up for K/1 is from the plaza entrance. Parents of 2/3 can enter through the plaza or the children's ministry hallway off of the LIVE auditorium. Please keep our team informed of any needs your child may have-- we consider it a privilege to serve your family!
My child isn't having a good experience in the larger service? What are my options?
We encourage you to try a smaller service with small classes. Encore on Sunday nights at 6 p.m. and the Sunday morning service at 8:45 a.m. are both great options.
Who are the volunteers working with my child?
All volunteers are given background checks and scanned through Megan's Law, as well as given excellent training prior to working with the children. We are thankful that so many quality volunteers have stepped forward to help teach kids about the Bible and to encourage them in their walk with the Lord.
What is your bathroom policy?
We encourage parents to take their children to the restroom before the service begins. However, if the need arises, volunteers will take the children to the restroom.
What is your sick child policy?
No sick kids! If your child has a runny nose, cough, or fever, they will not be allowed to participate in Kids' Praise.
