FAQ's

What can my child expect during the service? Is this just a babysitting service?
Definitely not! The Wee Praise program incorporates live and video praise and worship and an age appropriate teaching time to help build a foundation for understanding God's love.

What are the check-in and check-out procedures for babies?

Each child must be completely signed in before they can be admitted to the room.  This includes:
1.  A number:  Choose a number for your child from the box on the Check-In counter.
2.  The sign-in sheet:  The adult checking the child into the room must complete the information within the attendance folder.  Clearly print the child's number and name, print the adult's first and last name, and complete the other relevant information on the sign-in sheet.
3.  A sticky nametag:  The adult checking in the child must fill out a sticky label nametag to stick onto the child's back.  These nametags are used to give our Team Members any necessary additional information needed to better care for your infant.
4.  Visitor Policy: First-time visitors to our ministry must fill out a registration card for their child.  We use this to record pertinent information and the dates your child visits.  After 3 times, the information is recorded on our computer and your child becomes a "regular attender."

What is your check-in procedure for Walkers & Climbers and older?

Each child must be completely signed in before they can be admitted to the room.  This includes:
1.  A number:  Choose a number for your child from the box on the Check-In counter.
2.  The sign-in sheet:  The adult checking the child into the room must complete the information within the attendance folder.  Clearly print the child's number and name, print the adult's first and last name, and complete the other relevant information on the sign-in sheet.
3.  A nametag:  When a child is promoted from a younger class, or after a child new to our church has been in their class for three times, a permanent nametag will be made for the child. Nametags are stored on a wall in the classroom.  After the child has been signed in, our Team Member will get the child's nametag and pin it onto the back of the child's shirt.  If there are any special needs that we need to be aware of (i.e., allergies, custody issues), a special nametag will be made for your child.  Please inform our Team when you check in your child.

What is the Number System?

If your child should need you or if the Team Member needs to contact you, your number will be displayed on the number system located in each venue.  If your child is inconsolable, we will alert you.  Your child will only be released after the assigned number card is presented to the classroom Team Member and your child is signed out on the Check-In sheet.

Who are the volunteers working with my child?
All volunteers are given background checks and scanned through Megan's Law, as well given excellent training prior to working with the children.

My child isn't having a good experience in the larger service. What are my options?
We encourage you to try a smaller service with small classes. Encore on Sunday nights at 6 p.m. and the Sunday morning service at 8:45 a.m. are both great options.

What is your bathroom policy?
We encourage parents to take their children to the restroom before the service begins. However, if the need arises, volunteers will take the children to the restroom.

What is your sick child policy?
No sick kids! If your child has a runny nose, cough, or fever, they will not be allowed to participate in Little Coasters.
