1. Does North Coast Church offer professional mental health services?

The North Coast Church Counseling Center is a professional counseling center, and our staff is comprised of credentialed mental health professionals.

2. What is Christian Counseling?

Christian counseling combines professional counseling techniques and Scriptural principles in a unique approach to mental health issues.

3. Are all of your therapists Christian?

At North Coast Church, all of the therapists acknowledge personal faith in Jesus Christ.

4. Do I have to be a Christian to use your services?

Our services are available to everyone. We are a Christian-based counseling center, but our approach is to meet people wherever they are in all areas of life.

5. How do I make an appointment?

Call our Member Care Department at (760) 724-6700 ext. 220 and speak with Lenore.

6. May I choose my own therapist?

You may request a particular therapist. Your preference will be honored if your presenting issue is within their treatment area, and if they have available appointment times.

7. How long do I need to wait to see someone?

Generally, your appointment will be within a week or two of your initial call. The time may vary for each therapist.

8. What if I have a life-threatening emergency?

If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 9-1-1 or your local police department.

9. How much does therapy cost?

The North Coast Church Counseling Center fees for professional services are below that of other mental health practices in the area. Specific fee information will be provided when you call for an appointment.

10. Will my visits be covered by insurance?

Since policies and benefits vary greatly, most of our therapists do not deal directly with insurance companies. Clients are responsible for charges which are payable at the time services are rendered.

11. What if I have financial concerns?

North Coast works to make it possible for those seeking services to receive treatment. Please speak with Lenore or Sharon at our Member Care Department for more details.

12. How long does therapy take?

The length of treatment depends on many factors. It is primarily determined by the nature of the issue and the motivation of the client.
