Single Purpose is open to singles of all ages, but events are typically attended by those in their late 30s and older. We meet at the Melrose campus (map) each Sunday night (6:00pm in the Video Cafe) and on the first Friday of each month (7:30pm in the Live auditorium, and then at 9:00pm in the Video Cafe).

Do you wish you had a core group of people to hang out with after the service to discuss the sermon or share a meal with? Then join the club… the Single Purpose Saturday Night Supper Club! Tennis anyone?  We play several sets of social mixed doubles from 2 to 5 PM.  There will be a clinic for beginners and rusty players from 2 to 2:30 PM.  We play at the beautiful El Camino County Club in Oceanside.  It's lots of fun and great exercise too!  There is no cost for the clinic or for playing, but please wear athletic shoes with non-marking soles and bring a new can of tennis balls to use.  Sign up by calling Sharon Jordan at 760.724.6700 ext. 110.

This is a trip we've done before... last time we did this, we had a blast. The rapids were exhilarating, our raft leaders were a lot of fun, the staff prepared our meals and it was some of the best food I'd ever eaten (except for the cruise, of course!!). We'll camp at a local campground on Friday evening, set out on the lower Kern River at 9:30 AM on Saturday, camp on the river that night, then set out after breakfast Sunday for a half day and get shuttled back to the offices where we can set out for home.
