What to Bring
- Everything you need to live in the desert for a couple days (tent, trailer, sleeping bag, camping gear, etc…) We will not be providing any lodging, equipment or vehicles.
- Appropriate gear and clothing for daytime heat and nighttime cold. (The desert can hit temperature extremes in either direction and wind and rain are always possibilities).
- As many toys as you can fit in your trailer or toy hauler.
- Fuel and tools for the toys.
- Food, water and beverages for the weekend. We will provide breakfast and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. Bring your own lunches and snacks.
- Any safety or recovery equipment you would normally bring to the desert
- Bible
Optional Gear:
- GPS or compass may be helpful for the poker run.
- CB or two way radio to communicate with other vehicles
- Cell Phone
Helping Out:
You can sign-up to help with any of the things below at the registration booth or email jd(at)northcoastchurch.com.
- Set-up Team: Set up camp Friday morning
- Check-in Team: Check guys in, handle payments, release forms, t-shirts and name tags.
- Firewood Transporter: Bring firewood from home and deliver to fire pits at camp.
- Combustion Initiator: Build and start fires in designated pits with approved fire accelerators.
- Biffy Technician: Check and restock toilet paper and towels in bathrooms and wash stations.
- Table Attendants: Wipe down tables and throw away left over plates after meal time.
- Sanitation Manager: Empty trash cans and reline with new bags.
- Trash Hauler: Throw trash bags in your rig and haul them to the nearest dumpster.
- Brew Master: Make coffee and prepare water for hot coco.
- Kitchen Cadet: Prep food and assist in cooking meals. (sample the carne)
- Meal Server: Take all the credit for the greatest tasting morsels of heaven.
- Dish Pan Posse: Clean up kitchen, utensils, and food prep area.
- Event Pack-up Team: Break down camp and load all gear back in to church trucks.
- Ride Leaders: Lead a group or riders or drivers on the poker run. Help keep it safe and fun.
