Another North Coast “Real Man” Event
The Desert Rat Experience is a man’s weekend designed for guys who are into all kinds of off-roading. There’s just something about riding or driving motorcycles, quads, rails and 4x4s with a bunch of guys who consider the desert a big playground. That’s what the Desert Rat Experience is all about. You can count on lots of riding time, a poker run and three hot meals with lots of meat.
- If you don’t have an off-road vehicle or 4x4 you will need to find a friend who has an extra bike or an extra seatbelt. We will not be providing any vehicles, bikes or lodging.
- Two wheel drive pickups and SUVs with moderate clearance are still a lot of fun at Ocotillo Wells SVRA.
- You don’t need to know anyone to come.
Refueling:
Guys need to get away and get recharged. Riding or driving in the desert with friends is one way to make that happen. In addition to time on the throttle we will stop for a few brief "refueling" meetings where a couple of our staff will share some relevant teaching out of God's word.
Sons:
The Desert Rat Experience is for guys only. We recommend the event for teens and above but trust dads to make the call on a younger boy. The brief teaching times will be appropriate for any age
Cost:
$45 per person covers registration, 2 breakfasts, 1 dinner, port-a-johns, and a few legendary prizes. No lunches provided - bring your own.
- Full payment is due by February 24.
- You can register at our Melrose campus February 16, 17, 23 & 24 at our weekend services or just stop by the North Coast office during normal business hours.

Coming and Going:
- The event is February 29 - March 2, 2008
- You are welcome to arrive anytime on Friday, February 29th.
- Check-in will run from 7pm to 8pm and there will be a brief orientation meeting at 9:00pm.
- Our official program will end on Sunday, March 2 around 10am.
